Tuna Noodle Casserole (aka Tuna Wiggle)
The ultimate nostalgia meal from my childhood in the 90s, but is honestly more closely associated with my mom’s childhood growing up in the 60s. In any case, it’s one of the most comforting, simple, most affordable and quickest dinners to get on the table fast!
Tuna Wiggle:
1# Pasta
1 C Milk
1 1/2 sticks of butter (1 stick for sauce and 1/2 stick for panko breadcrumbs)
1/4 C mayo
1 Can cream of mushroom soup
1 tbsp garlic
1 can corn
1 can peas (optional, I’m not a fan of peas, but my kids love them, so I sopmetimes add them)
2 cans tuna (in water)
Panko
1/2 C shredded cheddar
Boil pasta and set aside. In same pan, add remianing ingredients, except panko, 1/2 stick butter and cheddar. Combine and then add pasta back in. Pour into a lightly oiled baking dish and cover with cheddar and panko topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes! Enjoy!
