Classic BLT
Do you really need a recipe for a BLT? It’s such a classic, that it’s hard to believe that some people may never have eaten one or made one, but just in case, here’s my take on the perfect BLT!
BLT Ingredients:
Bacon
Duke’s Mayo
Romaine Lettuce (Chopped)
Tomato (Sliced)
Sourdough bread (toasted)
I like to bake my bacon, only because it’s easier when you are doing it in bulk and with 7 people in the family, bacon for BLT’s comes in bulk. Like a sheet pan with parchment paper or if you have a rack and want to use it, place a rack on your sheet pan, following by your bacon and cook at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or until cooked to your preference.
Toast sourdough in toaster and slather mayo on both slices of bread. Layer your romaine (I prefer to chop mine, but can lay out in leafs, as well, sliced tomato, bacon (3 to 5 slices) and cut lengthwise. Devour!
